Updated: Jun 23, 2019

On Saturday the 20th July this year you will be able to meet some of the town's past residents. Below are just a few of them, if you find one of our time travellers on the day make sure to say hello.

Sgt. Frederick Griffin, 5th Battalion, The Norfolk Regiment. and Fiona Kay, a member of the Women's Land Army will be with us. The Revd William Hudson MacNaughton-Jones, Vicar of East Dereham will be there too. He was a well loved character and very involved with activities in the town and Peace Day itself.

You can also meet Charles Pearce, Chairman of Urban District Council (the equivalent of todays Mayor, Dr Duigan, the Aldiss family, Walter Roy, the local Police Superintendant, Roger Jex the Fire Captain, Benjamin Herbert Vores solicitor, Methodist Minister Rev Benjamin Fendick and many more real people from 1919.
